I took a casual road trip to Natchitoches, LA recently with my wife and a friend of ours. We enjoyed a few of the sites in historic downtown Natchitoches, and then meandered home on the backroads, stopping at Oakland Plantation which is part of the Cane River Creole National Historical Park. The trip wasn’t intended as a photographic journey, but I just couldn’t leave my cameras at home. Enjoy these few images. The first two are in Natchitoches, with the remainder at Oakland Plantation.
On a recent, hot summer afternoon, the masterful Leigh Schneider collected props and models and created an idyllic romantic scene from days gone by.I was fortunate to be invited to take photos during the session, and here are a few of my favorites.
